Camilla Almici, the dynamic shooting champion, is preparing for the World Championships: "I started by chance, I wanted to share some time with my dad."

In September Camilla Almici will participate first in the Italian Championship and then in the World Championship
Brescia, 5 August 2025 – Camilla Almici is the reigning dynamic shooting world champion and will be in South Africa starting next September 19th to defend the world titles she won in both the individual and team events with Italy in December 2022 in Pattaya, Thailand.
As all the top athletes in this sport (which, in essence, involves shooting at a target while completing a specific course) prepare to compete in next month's World Championships, the twenty-seven-year-old athlete from Ghedi, a member of Team CZ and a member of the Italian national team, is also continuing her training (which will include a special focus on the Italian Championships during the first weekend of September) to be in top form for the South African event.
"During the first weekend of August," Almici recalls with an eloquent smile, " I participated in and won the Hot Shot in Hungary. For me, it was the last international competition before the World Championships, and I can say I received positive feedback. Sure, my rivals are just as prepared and determined, but I realized once again that, in reality, the first opponent I have to watch out for is myself. If I can stay focused, give 100%, and keep my head straight from start to finish, I can do well. Obviously, confirming your performance is never easy, and in South Africa there will be many talented shooters aiming for the world title, but I want to continue on my path."
The Brescian champion 's journey began almost by chance in 2019 (and therefore relatively late): "I got into this discipline," Camilla Almici confides, "so I could share some time with my dad . He loves target shooting, guns, and history, and from these passions, the step towards dynamic shooting was short and almost natural." A chance encounter that soon led to a trophy cabinet: "I immediately fell in love with this sport and just as quickly realized I could make my mark. So, from my first national competitions, I quickly moved on to international competitions, and I've had so many great successes that I hope to experience again in the future."
Indeed, along the way, Camilla Almici has achieved a remarkable triple crown, becoming Italian, European, and world champion: "I don't consider these results a point of arrival," echoes the Italian shooter. "Every time I compete, I think about not making mistakes. I want to give my all, and that's the most important thing for me. Always improving and putting everything I have into competition is my greatest achievement." And the right path to make her journey into the world of dynamic shooting even more precious...
